The opportunity

The Regional Procurement International Markets Lead directs sourcing operations across multiple countries, including Israel, India, Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine, managing an annual expenditure of approximately $400 million and overseeing a diverse vendor network. Leading a dispersed team, they drive commercial value through rigorous negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring robust supply security while maintaining strict adherence to the Global Procurement framework.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Acts as a strategic partner to the International Markets Business Leaders in the relevant countries and leads regional sourcing events, achieves savings and working capital improvements to targets set, maintaining alignment with Teva corporate strategy and financial targets

  • Responsible to establish ways of working in complaince with the Category Management Teams implementing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) approach as relevant.

  • Achieves defined Procurement objectives and monitors relevant metrics on the Regional Procurement dashboard, while complying with the Global Procurement framework with its policies, systems, and processes.

  • Inspires the team to continuously improve, to develop and coordinate key sourcing activities for the team, including directing and approving competitive bidding (RFx) processes. Review and approve complex RFx documentation being issued by the team. Increase and/or maintain high number of performed eAuctions.

  • Negotiates or oversees the negotiation of favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with our suppliers and preferably use our negotiation factory.

  • Creates hub opportunities for the International Countries to increase efficiencies and continues to work on simplification efforts.

  • Lead the IM procurement team, establish individuals' development and succession plans with Teva´s Leadership Principles in mind

Your experience and qualifications

Qualification

  • University Degree in Business / Chemistry / Sciences/ Industrial engineering

  • MBA preferred

  • Procurement experience: 15+ years of professional procurement experience within a global organization and/or 12+ years of professional procurement as well as 3 years of global leadership experience in positions of other International functions.

  • Direct and Indirect Spend experience

  • Pharma industry experience: 2+ years preferred

  • Management and Leadership experience: 5+ years at departmental or country level and within a global function

  • Languages: proficiency in spoken and written English

  • Professional certification in purchasing or supply chain is desirable, e.g. from ISM (CPSM, CSM, CPM), from APICS (CPIM, CIRM), from EPIM, etc.

  • Understanding of contract laws needed

Knowledge and skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills including cross-functional teamwork with ability to mentor, lead and develop staff and develop/manage suppliers

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices

  • Strong negotiation skills, exceptional analytical skills, strong multi-cultural skills, high energy level, and a bias towards action

  • Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to translate strategic vision into tactical plans and manage the change required to execute

  • Demonstrated ability leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple simultaneous projects and delivering quantifiable results.

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of professionals ideally procurement teams

  • Ability to collaborate and influence with stakeholders, teams and colleagues

  • Ability to draw strategic insights from analysis and effectively summarize and present insights

  • Ability to model and quantify financial benefits for identified opportunities and initiatives

  • Excellent change management.
