The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant specializing in Protein Analytics to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting research projects focused on the analysis and characterization of proteins extracted through advanced technologies.

How you’ll spend your day

• Assist in the design, planning, and execution of research projects focused on protein analytics and characterization.

• Biophysical and biochemical characterisation of large molecules using liquid chromatography.

• Prepare samples and conduct experiments using techniques such as mass spectrometry.

• Protein expression and purification, especially in mammalian cell lines.

• Collect, analyse, and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

• Maintain detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results.

• Collaborate with senior researchers and cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

• Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, and presentations.

• Stay current with the latest scientific advancements and techniques in protein analytics.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Your experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life sciences or Chemistry with honours or Master’s.

• Experience in protein analysis and characterization techniques including chromatography.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and software for data analysis.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
