How you’ll spend your day

  • Responsible for performing write-off and variance analysis including verification, approval, consolidation and reporting for both

  • Responsible for performing a review and analysis of purchase orders and plant’s spend including preparing correction journal entries

  • Responsible for assisting with preparation of quarterly forecast, annual budget and financial closings as needed

  • Responsible for participating in ad-hoc projects as needed

  • Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments

  • Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Batch Record instructions

  • Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related industry

  • Experience working with Financial/GL Systems, preferably Oracle and/or SAP

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with working knowledge of variances, bill of materials, routers, write-offs, etc.

  • Experience in business modeling, financial analysis, and managerial analysis is preferred

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze information and connect it to corresponding performance metrics

  • Self-directed with the ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to work with ambiguity

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure

  • Communicate effectively with excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Interact positively and collaborate with co-workers, management, and external partners

  • Project management and advanced presentation skills are preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, and able to work independently
