Job Description
This role will be responsible for measuring and tracking performance across digital website and paid media channels for assigned pharmaceutical brands. The Manager will be responsible for managing the developmental and deployment process of Multi-Channel Marketing (MCM) measurement framework utilization across brands, analyzing data, developing, and delivering analyses. The incumbent will analyze data, develop report summaries and present key strategic findings and observations to optimize and enhance marketing campaigns and tactics.
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Manager, MCM Analytics will, working collaboratively, bring insights to the business to support strategic business decisions. The Manager, MCM Analytics will need both pharmaceutical brand franchise/function knowledge and technical hands-on analytics expertise to support the synthesis of analytics, promotional campaign reporting, and industry research to provide meaningful insights to franchise management. In addition, the Manager, MCM Analytics will have exposure to digital marketing data science skills to support weekly ad-hoc requests from MCM Brand Engagement Leads, Brand Teams, and other cross-functional teams.
The Manager, MCM Analytics will be responsible for the following:
Participating in the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual MCM campaign performance reporting for assigned brands
Engaging in regular data cleansing, validation, visualization refinement, and collaboration with brand engagement leads in anticipation of ad-hoc requests and planned analytic reviews
Cross-validating data deliveries and data steams against planned media and channel spends
Interfacing with brand engagement leads, media agencies, and data platform partners as needed to maintain data analysis schedules
Analyzing website traffic and channel referral data utilizing Google Analytics and developing data visualizations
Managing dashboard views and additional developmental needs / updating dashboards and being responsible for brand inquiries on data currency, validity, and interpretation
Managing workflow project tasks collaborating across media and creative agencies, data suppliers, brand teams
Collaborating with Brand Engagement Leads on development of campaign measurement frameworks and manage metrics to track brand strategy, tactics, and market performance.
Demonstrating strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and ability to express point view using both written and verbal communication
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience required with multichannel marketing/cross-channel digital analytics, digital analysis tools in the CPG or pharmaceuticals/life sciences industry. Pharmaceuticals Industry experience is preferred
Google Analytics 3+ years of hands-on experience is required
Google Analytics Certification required (must be current)
BS/BA in quantitative discipline (mathematics/statistics/economics/ marketing/ business) required
Deep experience required in Digital (web, search, social) marketing analytics: hands-on experience using web analytics toolsets (i.e. Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.) and collating data cogently into concise and meaningful presentation summaries
Experience with digital media channel analysis, KPI reporting and data visualization
Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, other (GANTT, PERT charts)
Experience with/exposure to customer journey analysis - segmentation methods and conversion analysis
Experience with/exposure to data visualization tools and platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview, Google Studio, Datorama)
Experience with/exposure to advanced quantitative methods (e.g. attribution models, multivariate statistics, predictive models)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Understanding of contemporary data science tools along with comfort and/or aptitude for working in AWS environment
Knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing, particularly multi-channel marketing
Agile mindset with high-comfort level utilizing business/digital software suites
Additional training in marketing analytics/ web analytics is advantageous
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and attuned to learning new business and tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work streams
Ability to influence business decisions by having a strong understanding about business, finance, and risks/benefits of decisions
Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate (verbally/written) in a persuasive and appropriate manner, influence credibly and effectively
Ability to work across teams and collaborate effectively
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Approximately 15% domestic travel throughout the US.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional: Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment.
Visual Acuity: Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
