Teva is searching for two Area Business Sales Directors (ABD) to lead our psychiatry sales team. The incumbents will be part of the newly created sales team focused on the psychiatry space and responsible for the performance of a yet-to-be-approved long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia. The ABDs will hire, onboard, and build out an entire sales team comprising of 14 (split between 2) Regional Sales Managers and 8-10 Sales Associates within each region. The ABD will be responsible for achieving and delivering area results in a compliant and ethical manner. The ABD will possess an understanding of organizational objectives and align resources appropriately to meet those objectives. While pursuing their goals, the ABD will uphold the culture and values of Teva in all interactions and business matters. These individuals will execute the hiring strategy, work closely with sales training to ensure proper training is executed, coach the RSM team on business planning, and lead the entire team from the front on performance, process, and people initiatives. Additionally, the ABDs will effectively and efficiently plan and complete all business activities via aligned objectives and analytics while maximizing available resources and partners. The ABDs will be working closely with all internal stake holders for TV46000 and be the point persons for all brand input, strategic insights, targeting, planning, and overall execution. The ABDs will possess impactful and influential communication and presentation skills and keep the objective in mind while moving the sales teams towards sales goals.
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Identify, recruit, hire, coach, and retain top talent for the TV46000, Psychiatry Sales Team
Develop expertise and lead leaders on regional business focus areas, including settings of care, payer, and pull-through opportunities, and flawless execution of the marketing and call plan strategy
Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed national sales goals. Teach and coach the regional managers on effective business planning
Coach/train RSMs on different settings of care to identify key business opportunities
Lead all internal stakeholders of TV46000 across market access, sales operations, branding, and sales training
Adhere to and ensure the sales team complies with all Teva guidelines and operates with integrity
Review and create data reports to identify trends, address concerns, and capitalize on positive trends
Develop and implement incentive plan at launch with close interaction with Sales Operations and Human Resources
Coach team towards success from hire date onward, providing appropriate guidance, encouragement, and oversight to ensure effective execution of brand strategy
Spend 4 days/month in the field, creating relationships with treating HCPs and supporting local RSMs and sales team
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 10+ years in pharmaceutical industry including customer-facing positions required
Minimum of 5+ years of regional sales management or similar type of people management required
Record of achieving sales goals and building, coaching, and developing effective sales teams required
Home office experience or field experience in market access/reimbursement strongly preferred
Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas preferred
Experience successfully launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care preferred
Buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy experience preferred
Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies as well as experience in all pertinent settings of business (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
The ideal candidate should live within 25 miles from a major hub airport or be located near the Parsippany home office, which is in the Eastern Time Zone. Meetings typical start at 8am/9am EST.
