The opportunity

As a Market Access Manager/ Tender manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products gain optimal access to healthcare markets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to navigate the complex landscape of reimbursement, pricing, and regulatory affairs.

The requirement of this role is tender management by creating specs and checking tender documents, monitor tender and pricing strategies.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Develop and execute market access strategies to maximize product reimbursement and market penetration.

  • Tender management – creating specs, monitoring, and creating documents.

  • Influence governmental organizations, health care groups, and medical associations to make budget, reimbursement, and funding decisions or usage recommendations in favour of the company’s products.

  • Shapes organizational policy or budget through arguments related to product efficacy and health economics.

  • Develops and fosters excellent professional and business relationships with key gatekeepers and heads of pharmacy departments, rather than directly influencing prescribing doctors.

  • Establishes, maintains, and develops good relationships with governmental agencies, medical associations, and the private sector to ensure the acceptance of company products and their participation in all procurement methods.

  • Assesses pricing and market access risks arising from price changes and develops and implements pricing strategies to increase the success rate of tenders.

  • Builds a leading business for tenders, analyses and collects data to develop tender plans, and seeks and reviews new business opportunities at both the hospital and national levels.

  • Maintains a master database of contract/tender pricing, success status, competitor outcomes, and prices to aid in submission decision-making.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy; an MBA is preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in Market Access management, Tender management, Product management, or Sales management in the ethical channel

  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry

  • Tender analysis

  • Experience in managing broad and complex product portfolios is preferred

  • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas (preferably Oncology, Immunology, Ophthalmology, and Respiratory)

  • Deep knowledge and a successful track record with the Hospital Authority

  • Proficient in spoken and written English

  • Good networking skills with healthcare professionals and others

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities

  • Must have analytical and negotiation skills

  • Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
